This will be an interesting election. If twenty four House seats flip from republican to Democrat, we will have a Democratic Party majority. There are early indications that the Democrats could pull majority wins and I predict they will. A lot of polls are showing huge wins. I think Governor Jay Inslee, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association said it well, "There's no other way to argue it except for the objective fact that our people are voting in droves, and their people are staying home in droves." I think this will be the case this 2018 election cycle. Trump and Republicans like Roy Moor will keep the Republicans at home. Maybe it's just me, but they seem to be not as vocal in their support. Trumps approval ratings in the 30s might have something to do with it. It seems many Republicans are backing away from him, as I imagined they eventually would. I think by election time things will be even bleaker for Republican candidates. Who knows what will happen with North Korea. the tone President Trump is taking isn't looking good for peace or the Republicans chances for re-election. 26 Republicans have stated that they will not seek re-election in 2018. The average is 22. This is another plus for The Democratic Party. Democrats need as a basic economic plan to rally around. whether it be economic stimulus or tax breaks for the middle class, they need something fresh that stands out. Simply criticizing Republicans isn't going to cut it with voters. Democrat Beto O'Rourke is poised to give Ted Cruz a run for his money. If enough Republican Party voters stay home, O'rourke stands a chance. Lets not forget the investigations, who knows what they could turn up. Bribery, treason high crimes being uncovered are not out of the question. Not to mention the Russian connection and what kinds of tricks Putin has up his sleeve, or rather what kinds of tapes and videos will be miraculously posted. That would sure throw a wrench in the workings of our country. It's not just Trump either, many of his administration are under F.B.I. scrutiny. Vice President Mike Pence is right in there too, which will make it even more interesting. Yeah, I think the Democrats walk away with historic wins set up to take the presidency in 2020. Your thoughts?
